First Friday Art Walk is tonight, and we've got a wonderful basket of summer experiences waiting for you... get started on your Independence Day weekend with us!
Artist Erin Hughes will be here to meet and greet Library visitors and discuss her paintings. Hughes' work will show here at Park Central all month.
At 7 p.m., Live Oak Band takes the Community Stage for one of our trademark FREE, all-ages shows. Live Oak Band is based in Springfield and features the talents of Ryan Boone and Kirk Woodring. They play a unique brand of acoustic American music.
Also, watch for the Sounds on the Square concerts. Presented by Pension Consultants, a neighbor company just around the corner, this concert series takes place throughout the summer on Fridays (starting at 5) and Saturdays (starting at 6). The music lineup changes each week.
Meanwhile, it's a fresh Friday! Just steps from our doors, downtown's Friday Night Farmers Market starts at 3:30 p.m. and runs through 8 p.m. The market is located in the Park Central Square area and runs May through October on Fridays.
As always: Library staffers at Park Central are familiar with downtown and can help you with walking directions, maps, parking tips, and (of course) all things Library!
